Commissions

"If you are interested in commissioning a piece of work the process is usually as follows;

 The customer contacts me with an idea on price, medium (ie. oils, collage, charcoal, etc.), and subject matter, (perhaps a favorite location, or artwork they relate to on my website).

Then we can enter a discussion on size, format and framing.

When we have come to an agreement on details I would require 10% of the final cost up front, to cover materials and time.

I usually work on two pieces simultaneously to allow some flexibility, and to give the customer some choice in the end product.

The customer can then view the final images before selecting their favorite.

 I would not expect a customer to buy an image that they were not happy with, and if we could not reach a satisfactory result, the they would not be compelled to buy the artwork, but I would keep the deposit, to cover my working hours.

Having said that, I have never had this problem in the past!
