ART FOR NATURE
In 2019 my main project was organising a charity fundraising exhibition for the environmental charity World Land Trust, which purchases land in environmentally sensitive ares to protect the habitat against damage and development.
I approached artists whose work is inspired by the natural world and asked if they would be willing to donate a piece of artwork for the exhibition and was over whelmed by the generosity of artists who seem willing to give, even though the art world is a notoriously difficult arena in which to make a living.
I was offered a venue at the Create Centre in Bristol, who let us use their lovely gallery free of charge, as the show fitted with their environmental ethos.
We have raised over £5,000 for World Land Trust so a huge thank you to the artists who donated work, The Create Centre for hosting the event, and all those who purchased work and made the exhibition success.
